WorkCover is running a free seminar of Electrical Codes of Practice covering work near overhead
power lines, electrical practices for construction work and low voltage electrical work. The seminar will be

Media Release Seminar
Mediateam Australia is running a seminar entitled Inside story getting into womens magazines
which will have editors of leading Australian magazines talking about which stories interest magazines, how
to pitch your story, understanding magazine timelines and deadlines, magazine story requirements and how
they craft their stories. This seminar will be held in Sydney on 1 August, 9.30am-1pm at a cost of $170 (incl.
morning tea and a copy of Media on a shoestring).

Government-Funded Training - Web Page Design for Small Business Owners
The NSW Department of Education & Training is subsidizing the running of another web design course for
small
business, with your business only required to make a small contribution
of $164 towards the cost. Only 15 places are available. Participants
will walk away from this course with a webpage suitable for their small
business that can be easily updated by them as needed - saving
expensive web development costs. No webpage experience is needed for
this course.
Modules: 1) Intro to Webpages and E-commerce. 2) Web Design Basics. 3) On-line Research. 4) Web
Design Review. 5) Advanced Features of Webpages. The course is to commence in early August and run
until mid-December, and is comprises work at home and five face-to-face evening meetings over the period,
plus
one day compulsory day attendance at a workshop. If you would like a

Free Customer Service Training Workshop
There are 18 places available in each of two free Customer Service Training Workshop, run by Lets Learn, to
be held in Nowra on Tuesday 24 July, and Ulladulla on Wednesday 25 July, from 6-8pm. We will be looking
at attitude, skills & knowledge, good service vs bad service, internal & external customers and the benefits of

Nowra New Business Club Motivation
is the topic of the July Nowra New Business Club meeting, to be held at
the rear of 81 North St, Nowra, from 7.30-9.00am on Friday 27 July.
Alison Friend and Ineke Bersgma will be leading a discussion on how to
get motivated and stay motivated when you are working by yourself or on
a difficult project something most of us need at some point! The New
Business Club is designed for

ATO Update from July 1. 2007 the threshold for those required to be registered for GST will be raised to
$75,000 for business and $150,000 for not for profit bodies. If you are registered for GST a Reminder If
you feel you will be late lodging your BAS, maker sure your contact the ATO on 13 28 66 and make
arrangements for late lodgements.
Safety in Construction WorkCover is running a FREE safety workshop for builders and sub contractors in
the Shoalhaven & Southern Illawarra, at the Kiama Leagues Club on Wed 1 August 2007.This is a great way
for builders and subbies in the construction industry to find out the latest safety information and how to make
their workplace safer. Find out more about working safely at heights, safe work method statements,
asbestos, electrical safety and workers comp for workers / contractors. Inspectors will also be on hand to
answer your questions. This workshop is free but you must register your attendance (click here)
Businesses can receive information about how they can apply for a rebate of up to $500 for implementing a
safety improvement at their workplace. For more information about WorkCover's free small business
