Welcome to a new year ahead for Shoalhaven Business Chamber Inc. The Annual general meeting will be held on 17th July 2007, where the Presidents and financial reports for the first year of operation 2006- 2007 for Shoalhaven Business Chamber will be presented. The election of the Executive Committee for 2007-2008 will be conducted at the AGM. All nominations must be received in writing, signed by nominated person and signed by the person seconding the nomination, no later than 7 days prior to the meeting (July 10th 2007). If any positions do not receive nominations in writing 7 days prior to the meeting then nominations will be called for and seconded from the floor.Members interested in the vacant SBC Executive positions are invited to contact either

Small businesses across Australia have the opportunity to compete on a national level with the launch ofthe Australian Small Business Champion Awards. Initiated and managed by Precedent Productions (a
small privately owned Australian company) the awards are being supported by the Australian Government, the Commonwealth Bank Local Business Banking, Quicken, CPA Australia, PKF Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors and Fairfax Community Newspapers. The Champion awards are designed to support and recognise the achievements of small businesses and their contribution to the local community in each state and territory. With 29 categories, all small businesses in Australias retail, services and manufacturing industries are eligible to enter the awards. One small business will win the national prize and title of the Australian Small Business Champion Entrepreneur. The entrepreneur category winner will receive a $40,000 experience to the UK. The SYO is an established Orchestra which is growing steadily in confidence and skills. The SYO regularly performs at events, in concert and at festivals both within and outside the Shoalhaven. The SYO members are drawn from the Shoalhaven Region and it is the only orchestra catering to the talents of our youth. Many of the Chamber members would be familiar with the Orchestra and its extensive repertoire.
