Shoalhaven Business Chamber President’s Report:

November 2007.
I would like to encourage all members, partners and friends to come to the last meeting of the year on Tuesday 20th November and join in with fellow business people to network and discuss their issues. Your executive will be asking the membership at this meeting to pass the new Rules of Association for Shoalhaven Business Chamber which will assist the organisation to operate more efficiently.The Executive will be available to the membership to discuss any items they wish to bring to their attention. They have been dedicating their time, meeting twice a month in organizing the Chamber structure and sub-committees and are enthusiastically looking at having a more proactive role in the business environment in 2008.
The issues that the Executive are currently dealing with:
Our next meeting is four days before the Federal Election and to a certain extent has caused some concerns
for the Business Community in planning their futures. By the information the media are producing it will be an interesting time for Business and we just have to wait and see what the outcome will be. As this is the final meeting before Christmas it will also serve as an opportunity to pass on best wishes to all. I would like to thank my Executive Members, Celeste and Carly our staff members, Glenn Rowen and the Southern Area of the Business Chamber and June and her Nowra Central Promotions Committee all the jolly best for the season and for their voluntary time and effort to make the Shoalhaven a better place for all, thank you.

To all members of the Business Chamber have a happy, healthy and profitable festive season and I look forward to hearing all your good business news in 2008.

SHOALHAVEN BUSINESS CHAMBER EVENTS:

SBC Members Special General meeting:
Tuesday 20th November 2007 - 6.00pm - Nowra Golf Club
Members will be asked to consider and, if thought fit, to approve The Rules of Association for Shoalhaven Business Chamber be adopted: (SBC Rules of Association). The draft rules of Association have some changes to the Department of Fair Trading Model rules (read here).All members are encouraged to attend and vote on this very important matter. If you are unable to attend the special general meeting you may lodge your vote on the resolution with the proxy voting paper (read here).Following the conclusion of the special general meeting.
SBC Members end of year celebration dinner - meeting:

Shoalhaven Business Chamber Members, Guests, Employees, Business colleagues and Family are cordially invited to attend our end of year “celebration” dinner. The event will commence at 7.00pm. (Invitation)

Southern Area end of year meeting Monday 10th December - 6.00pm – Milton-Ulladulla Bowling Club.

The last of the very successful Nowra CBD “Spring Fever Giveaways” was won on the 6th November.
